Lloyd Mahaffey is an award-winning former senior Apple executive and entrepreneur, Sarbanes-Oxley qualified board director, business coach, sailor, pilot, fly fisherman, inventor, fundraiser. musician, and author who specializes in business triage, transformation and optimization.

A seasoned technology executive with more than 40 years of success in senior executive, marketing, sales, operations and venture capital roles for major technology companies and private equity firms, including Honeywell, Apple, VeriFone, Hewlett-Packard and Redleaf Ventures. 

His current activities include serving as the CEO and Director, Engage Technologies Group – www.engagetg.com – based in Boise, Idaho, Executive Chairman and Director, Crytica Security – www.cryticasecurity.com- in Reno, Nevada, and a Board Director, Paytabs – www.paytabs.com – in Dubai, UAE and serving as a Senior Advisor for American Global Strategies –  https://americanglobalstrategies.com – in Washington, D.C.

Before founding Crytica, he spent many years as a managing partner with Redleaf Ventures, an early-stage infrastructure-oriented venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley. Prior to Redleaf, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at VeriFone, Inc., one of the world’s largest fintech companies, where he managed marketing, software development and Internet commerce initiatives. Mr. Mahaffey led the team that negotiated the $1.2 billion acquisition of VeriFone by Hewlett-Packard.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Mahaffey held a number of senior executive positions at Apple Computer Inc including director and general manager of Apple’s famed Education Group. During his tenure, Apple’s Education revenues grew from $250 million to $1.2 billion. Later, he headed Apple’s Federal Systems Group in Washington, DC; the business unit responsible for $500M in worldwide sales and systems integration programs to the United States government.

Mr. Mahaffey is the author of the Snake River Valley American Viticulture Area (AVA) located in Southwest Idaho. He has been involved with viticulture and wine operations in Idaho and California for almost 20 years. 

He currently holds commercial-instrument pilot ratings and a General Class amateur radio operator license. An accomplished sailor, he has received many US Sailing certifications and bases his yacht, Windancer II, out of St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco where he is a member. 

An Honor Graduate from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He also attended Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business Executive Program.
