Arthur Sinodinos serves as Senior Advisor at American Global Strategies. Ambassador Sinodinos brings expertise from the highest levels of Australian government, diplomacy, economic policy, national security, industry innovation, and banking to AGS’ international and economic affairs work.

Ambassador Sinodinos is a leading expert on Australian public policy and politics, with extensive public- and private-sector experience. He is Chairman of Hypersonix Launch Systems and serves as a board member and adviser to corporations and nonprofit organizations involved in funds management, critical minerals, and the U.S.-Australia relationship.

Ambassador Sinodinos previously served as Australian Ambassador to the United States during the Trump and Biden administrations. In this role, he was closely involved in Australia’s engagement on AUKUS, the Quad, and the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework. He previously served as Australia’s Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science and represented New South Wales in the Australian Senate from 2011 to 2019. During his parliamentary career, he also served as Cabinet Secretary and Assistant Treasurer.

Over a career spanning four decades, Ambassador Sinodinos has held several influential positions in public service. Following the election of Prime Minister John Howard in 1996, he was appointed Senior Economic Adviser to the Prime Minister and later served for nine years as the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff. He began his career in the Australian Public Service in 1979 and rose to the Senior Executive Service in the Department of the Treasury.

In 2006, Ambassador Sinodinos left government to work with Goldman Sachs JBWere, followed by the National Australia Bank and several corporate appointments. In 2008, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for his service to government, economic policy and reform, and the Greek community. He holds honorary degrees from the University of Newcastle and the University of Sydney.
