Mr Nick Warner AO, PSM is a highly experienced former Australian government official, and most recently served as the Director-General of the Office of National Intelligence (ONI) – Australia’s peak intelligence agency which reports directly to the Prime Minister. Before his time at the ONI, Mr Warner served as the Director-General of the Australian Secret Intelligence Service (2009-2017), the Secretary of the Department of Defence (2006-2009) and Senior Adviser (International) to the Prime Minister (2005- 2006).

In his career as a diplomat, Mr Warner headed the inter-agency Emergency Response Team to Iraq in 2004 and 2005; has served as Special Coordinator of the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (2003-2004); High Commissioner to Port Moresby (1999-2003); Ambassador to Iran (1994-1997); Deputy Head of Mission, Australian Permanent Mission to the Supreme National Council, Cambodia (1991-1993); Head, Australian Liaison Office, Namibia (1989-1990); and in the Australian Liaison Office, Salisbury, Rhodesia.
