Madeleine Westerhout is Vice President and Chief of Staff to the Chairman at American Global Strategies LLC.
Madeleine previously served in the White House, first as Special Assistant to the President and Executive Assistant to the President of the United States, where she functioned as the primary gatekeeper to President Donald J. Trump. In this role, Madeleine managed the President’s calls, flow of schedule, and overall run of the Oval Office.
She was later promoted to Special Assistant to the President and Director of Oval Office Operations. In this capacity, Madeleine operated as the liaison between the Oval Office and West Wing offices, Cabinet Secretaries, Members of Congress, the President’s re-election Campaign, the national party committee, and many other stakeholders. Madeleine also had the privilege of advancing foreign trips for both President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
After leaving the White House, Madeleine authored Off the Record, a memoir detailing her time in President Trump’s first administration. Off the Record was endorsed by a number of senior members of the Administration, including President Trump himself. Leading up to the 2020 election, she wrote several opinion editorials and appeared on television and radio programs offering insight on life inside the White House.
Madeleine began her career at the Republican National Committee, serving both the Finance Director and Chief of Staff for four years. In these roles she worked closely with major donors, Members of Congress, and all primary presidential candidates in the 2016 election cycle.
Madeleine was a 2024 Aspen Strategy Group Rising Leader and an alum of The Public Interest Fellowship and Alexander Hamilton Society’s Security and Strategy Seminar.
She is originally from Orange County, California and holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the College of Charleston in South Carolina.
