AGS UPDATES

  • AGS Chief Executive Officer Alexander Gray and Chief of Staff to the CEO Katie Price were invited to attend a high-level discussion hosted by USISPF on the U.S.-India COMPACT and U.S.-India TRUST initiatives, held on the sidelines of the 2025 Raisina Dialogue.
    • The discussion focused on advancing defense cooperation, with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. The event convened senior government officials, industry leaders, and strategic experts for a focused dialogue on strengthening U.S.-India collaboration across critical and emerging technology sectors.

  • Gray delivered the monthly lecture for Providence Magazine at the Institute on Religion and Democracy (IRD).

Obituaries

  • Michael Hayden Armacost, a distinguished American diplomat and scholar, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at the age of 87. Over a decades-long career, he played a pivotal role in shaping U.S. foreign policy in Asia, serving as ambassador to both the Philippines and Japan, and later leading the Brookings Institution. He was widely respected for his intellect, humility, and dedication to public service, earning numerous honors from the U.S. and Japan. Armacost is remembered not only for his professional legacy but also for his deep devotion to family and enduring warmth of character.
  • Anthony R. Dolan, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and chief speechwriter to President Ronald Reagan, passed away at age 76. Known for his fearless reporting on organized crime in Stamford, Connecticut, Dolan’s insights into corruption and evil helped shape some of Reagan’s most powerful speeches during the Cold War. A Yale graduate and early conservative voice, Dolan’s career spanned journalism, politics, and even music. His legacy includes not only his influential writing but also his pivotal role in exposing local corruption and advancing American conservatism.
