The FBI and local law enforcement are actively investigating a targeted terror attack that occurred earlier today, June 1st, at the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, Colorado.

Incident Overview

At approximately 1:00 p.m. MDT, during a peaceful walk organized by the group “Run For Their Lives” to show solidarity with Israeli hostages held in Gaza, a suspect allegedly threw Molotov cocktails at participants near 13th Street and Pearl Street. Multiple individuals sustained injuries, some consistent with burns, and were transported to local hospitals. The suspect was apprehended at the scene and taken into custody without incident. Authorities are also investigating a vehicle of interest related to the attack.

FBI Director Kash Patel has labeled the incident a “targeted terror attack,” confirming that federal agents are collaborating with local law enforcement in the ongoing investigation. Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn stated that several blocks surrounding the Pearl Street Mall have been evacuated as a precaution. Colorado Governor Jared Polis condemned the attack, describing it as a “heinous act of terror” and affirmed that state authorities are working closely with federal partners to support the investigation.
